Who we are

Dobie Transport LLC, a logistics company based in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, is responsible for the information collected through this website. You can reach us at sales@dobie-transport.com or (956) 450-8133; for service in Spanish, (956) 450-8869.

This policy covers this website and the messages that start from it. It does not cover a third-party site or app you reach from here, which runs under its own policy.

What you give us

Almost everything we hold about you is something you typed into a form or sent us in a message. Depending on which form you use, that is:

• Contact details — your name, phone number and email address, and sometimes your company name and city
• Shipment details — pickup and delivery locations, dates, and a description of what is moving: vehicle make, model, year and running condition, equipment type and dimensions, or freight commodity, volume and lanes
• Cross-border details — whether the vehicle has a title, and the answers that decide how a Mexico-bound move is handled
• Anything you write in a notes or message field, or send us over WhatsApp, text or email — including a photo of a title when a Mexico-bound move needs one
• Job applications — the answers in the application wizard on a role page: your experience, languages, availability and how to reach you

What is collected automatically

Like any website, this one records ordinary technical information when a page loads: the page requested, the date and time, your approximate location from your IP address, and your browser and device type. Our hosting provider keeps those server records.

Three third-party pieces also run on the site:

• The Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which measures page visits and quote-form steps for advertising measurement and sets its own cookies in your browser
• Google Maps Places autocomplete on the pickup and delivery fields — what you type into those fields is sent to Google to return address suggestions. If it is unavailable the fields are ordinary text boxes
• Netlify, which hosts the site and receives the forms you submit

What is stored in your own browser

The quote wizard saves your answers in your browser as you go, so a refresh or an accidental back button does not make you start over. That draft stays on your device; it is not sent to us until you submit the form. Clearing your browser storage for this site removes it.

Why we use it

To answer your request and price it, to arrange and coordinate the shipment, to contact you about it, to send a confirmation, to answer a later question about a move we handled, to review a job application, to keep our own records, to detect abuse of our forms, and to understand which parts of the site work — that is the full list. We do not build profiles of visitors for anyone else.

Who it is shared with

Moving freight is not a private act; it takes other companies. To do what you asked us to do, we share what is needed with:

• The carrier assigned to your load — the pickup and delivery information, the description of the load and the contact details of the people at each end
• Customs brokers and Mexico-side carriers on cross-border shipments, who need the shipment and documentation details to clear and complete the move
• Service providers that run our tools — hosting and form delivery, email, messaging and advertising measurement — which handle the information on our behalf
• Authorities, when the law or a legal process requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade contact lists. We do not publish what you send us, and a photo or document you send about your own shipment is not used as marketing material on this site.

Calls, texts and WhatsApp

When you give us a phone number in a form or message us first, you are asking to be contacted, and we will reply by phone, text or WhatsApp — whichever you used or asked for. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Tell us to stop and we stop; you can also write to sales@dobie-transport.com.

WhatsApp conversations run through WhatsApp under its own privacy policy. We see the messages you send us there, and so does WhatsApp.

How long we keep it

Quote requests and shipment records are kept for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our business, insurance, tax and legal record-keeping obligations. Job applications are kept while the role is open and for a reasonable period after, in case another role fits. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or stop associating it with you.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and ask us to stop contacting you. Write to sales@dobie-transport.com and tell us what you want. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, and we may need to keep records the law requires us to keep.

Separately from us: your browser's settings and your device's ad-tracking controls govern the Meta Pixel, and clearing site data for this site removes the saved quote draft and any cookies set in your browser.

Where information is handled

We operate from Texas and our service providers are primarily in the United States. Cross-border shipments require sharing shipment and documentation information with customs brokers and carriers in Mexico, which means that information is handled outside the United States for that purpose.

Security and children

Forms on this site are submitted over an encrypted connection, and access to what you send is limited to the people at Dobie who need it to do the work. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This site is for business and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it and the new version applies from the moment it is published.
