Why This Role Exists

Dobie grew on a simple promise: answer fast, quote honestly, and never leave a customer chasing an update. This role is where a customer meets that promise for the first time. Somebody calls about a truck, an excavator or a load headed for the border, and what happens in the next few minutes (how fast they hear back, how straight the quote is, whether anyone follows up) decides whether that load moves with Dobie or with whoever answered first.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Answer incoming quote requests fast, by phone, text, WhatsApp or web form, while the customer is still shopping.
  • Qualify the shipment properly: what is moving, from where to where, when it has to be there, and what would make it complicated.
  • Quote vehicle, heavy equipment and cross-border moves honestly, including when the honest answer is a higher number or a longer window.
  • Follow up until there is an answer either way. Most loads are won on the second and third contact, not the first.
  • Keep the CRM real. Leads and quotes run through GoHighLevel, and a quote nobody logged is a quote nobody can follow up.
  • Hand every booked load to dispatch cleanly, with the details they need, so what you sold is what gets delivered.
  • Stay in touch after delivery. The second load from a customer who trusts you is the cheapest load you will ever book.

What You Bring

Required
  • At least 3 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in logistics, freight or transportation: brokerage, carrier, 3PL or transport services.
  • Comfortable working the phone most of the day: calling, quoting and following up.
  • Organized and proactive: you can hold several open quotes at once and none of them goes quiet because you forgot it.
  • Results-driven. You are willing to own a number and report it without being asked.
  • Clear, direct communication with customers, carriers and your own team.
Helps, but not required
  • English and Spanish. The customers are in the U.S. and the lanes run into Mexico, so a rep who works in both languages has more of the board available to them.
  • Comfort working inside a CRM daily (we use GoHighLevel, and the habit matters more than the tool).

Your First 90 Days

1

First 30 days

Learn what Dobie actually sells: the lanes, the equipment, what makes a quote simple and what makes it complicated. Listen to live calls and build quotes next to someone before you build them alone.

2

By day 60

You are handling your own requests end to end (qualifying, quoting, following up) with someone checking your work, not doing it for you.

3

By day 90

You run your own pipeline: quotes out while the customer is still shopping, follow-ups that happen without a reminder, and a number you can report without being asked for it.

Why This Job Is Different

You talk to the owners

Manuel and Krystal built this company from dispatching and brokering themselves. When a quote needs a decision, the people who can make it are close to the work.

You are not cold-starting a market

A nationwide network of vetted carriers, all 50 states and live cross-border lanes into Mexico. The freight already moves. The job is to be the one who answers.

The cross-border book is real

Freight between the U.S. and Mexico is home-field business here, not a line on a capabilities deck, and working in both languages is simply how this team sells.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need freight or logistics experience?

Yes. Experience in logistics, freight or transportation is required for this role, along with at least 3 years of sales experience. What you learn here is how Dobie works: the lanes, the equipment and the way we quote.

Do I need to speak both English and Spanish?

Spanish is an advantage here, not a requirement. Dobie works both sides of the border every day, so a rep who can quote in both languages has more of the board available to them.

Do the leads come to me, or do I find my own?

Requests come in through the phone, the website and WhatsApp, and part of this job is being the one who answers them fast. How much prospecting sits on top of that is one of the things we go over on the first call.

What is the compensation?

Compensation is one of the things we cover with you directly and early, not something you find out at the offer stage.

Where is this role based?

The role is based in Bogotá, Colombia, selling for a U.S. company headquartered in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. Work setup is one of the first things we cover on the call, so nobody wastes a week.
